In 2007, Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation, Karey Oura of Island Soul
Entertainment, and a group of Hawaii’s most talented artists collaborated on the creation
and production of the first-ever-of-its-kind “Pink CD.”  This inspirational CD – truly a
labor of love dedicated to the women and men in Hawaii whose lives have been
touched by breast cancer – will debut to the public in May 2008.  Proceeds from
the sale of this CD will benefit MMMC Foundation for the purpose
of breast education and awareness.  

While these joyous, touching, and emotional songs of inspiration will
capture us, it is the message of hope and love that resonates.

“Every one of us know someone who has either fought or loss the battle to
cancer.  Cancer affects not just those who have it, but all those who are connected
to that person,” said Luis Finau of Na Waiho’olu’u O Ke Anuenue.  “Holding the
hand of someone, whispering words of hope or encouragement, or just lending a listening
ear.  The precious gifts we can give to all those who have been affected by this disease
is unrelenting love and unconditional support.
