Vaihi has strong ties to Tahiti.  In their musical journeys, Tahiti stands as a place of adulation. 
It is truly an island of beauty reminiscent of what Hawaii once was.  To honor this love and respect
for Taihiti, Vaihi has created Vaihitian. 

Vaihitian, the fourth offering from Vaihi, features songs all composed by Marotea Mariassouce,
one of the top composer in Tahiti.  Other tracks like Hei Tere and Ia Heipua Nui have all spent
time at the top of the French Polynesian charts.

First released in Tahiti in November of 2003, Vaihitian is currently the number one selling
album in French Polynesia.  It is also being nominated for Album of the Year and for Vaihi,
a Group of the Year nomination.  This is the first Tahitian language album done by a non-Tahitian
artist that has done very well.

Vaihitian also features guest artists Tyrone Heen, Sylvianne Kaonohi, Seph Tuia, and Tony
Kaonohi (Deva).  Together with Vaihi, their talents bring the music of one culture to the shores
