Product Description
When she was 4-years-old, Tiera Kekaula recorded her first
song He Ono La with her
father, Robert. Since then, she has recorded six songs with him I
Saw Mommy Kissing Santa
Claus, Paper Roses, Manu Kapalulu, Fall
In Love With The Ocean, and Unforgettable,
and one with The Next Generation, I Can Still Remember.
On July 1, 2003, independence weekend, Tiera celebrates her own INDEPENDENCE
with the
release of her first solo project
On My Mind. Her voice is as pure
as the rainfall and her range
as wide as the Koolaus. Tiera sings the lead and all the harmonies for all
11 songs on the project
with seemingly effortless emotion. This project marks the beginning of her
solo career.
On My Mind is a collection of 11 original songs that carries the listener
through all the
different genres of music...reggae, R&B, contemporary Hawaiian, country,
doo-wop, soft
rock, and new age.
Tiera showcases her talents with a mature sound with the title track On
My Mind
and a second ballad entitled What You Mean To Me.
The local reggae genre features a duet with Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winning
Artist/Songwriter/Producer Sean Naauao Sad Eyes, who also produced
this solo
project for Tiera. The first track, I Dont Wanna Be Just Your
Friend, and My Minds Doin
Circles also fall onto the island reggae scene.
The 16-year-old has some fun with the contemporary Hawaiian genre and a
catchy
ukulele in Akaku, which also features Hawaiian language.
All About Me & You, which happens to be Tieras favorite,
is a tune straight out
of the old school of R&B. Two country songs that make Papa proud are
Shame On Me For
Kissing You With My Eyes Closed Tight and Through The Crack
In My Window
with harmonies that would make the Dixie Chicks jealous.
Boom Boom is a track written especially for Tiera that brings
back the sound of The
Beach Boys and Sha-Na-Na that tells a story of high school wonder years
about boys and girls.
And finally, Come Back is a song with a soft rock beat that
tells the story of missed opportunities.
On My Mind, is produced by Sean Naauao with Robert Kekaula (A Guava Ding
Thing).
