Product Description

What's in a name? Apparently everything! With a new release titled "Lanui",
R.J. "Lanui" Kaneao has put it all together.

From the age of 4 R.J. has been on stage in one form or another. As a child
winning numerous national and statewide talent shows R.J. has transcended the
stereotypical local artist. With some of the smoothest and sometimes rootsy
reggae grooves and heart felt ballads you could imagine…R.J. "Lanui" Kaneao
has positioned himself to make his sophomore CD release enterprising!
Taking local music to a next level.

From a young age R.J. has hit the stage with such island/international greats
as Don Ho, Melveen Leed, The Peter Moon Band, Kapena, Willie k., Ho'aikane,
Leahi, Island Rhythms, Menudo (with Rick Martin), Eden's Crush, Glenn Medeiros
and most recently Mana'o Company, Fiji, Pati, Mana, O-shen and almost anyone
else you could think of in the local scene!

As a Polynesian entertainer R.J. has covered the globe with Tihati
Productions as a lead guitarist at their Polynesian Revues. And under the strict
& heavy tutorage of one of Hawaii's greatest musicians Kalama Ku Koanui! He
has gone on to become well respected in this genre of music & entertainment.
He has been featured in concerts, on compilations from Japan to
the south pacific, and Internet radio shows.

He now ventures into a new solo CD lovingly named after a family name "Lanui".
A name carried down thru generations to the 1st born son… "It's an honor for
me to name my album this, to pay tribute to my dad, my son and my great grandparents,
and the great Polynesian heritage of my family!" says R.J. With guest/duet tracks from
some of the biggest names in Hawaii like B.E.T., Mana Kaleilani Caceres and the
biggest of them all Fiji. It's something to be reckoned with…

And so his voyage continues…
