Their beginnings were unoriginal.  Three friends brought together by their love for music. 
Their style is not new: Hawaiian/Island Contemporary.  It is an escape from the noise
and monotony of a sometimes-hectic lifestyle.

Pono’s debut album Home of Mine is a collection of songs performed and recorded in honor
of family and loved ones.  The simple acoustic styling blended with harmonious vocals take
the listener on a musical vacation from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives.  From the title track of
Home of Mine, celebrating the beauty of these islands, to the stirring duet with living legend Palani Vaughan
in a remake of his classic He Puawehiwa, Pono’s melodic images will paint pictures for all to enjoy.

This trio, comprised of Maui music makers, Kaleo Phillips, Joshua Kahula, and Pi’ilani Arias,
came together with the best of their best on this debut album.  A collaboration of songs representing
their individual favorites and distinct styles, the consumer walks away with what could be passed
as three albums in one.

Pono’s Home of Mine is in many ways a part of all of us, each song taking us to our favorite
