Milo Shade is proud to present their debut CD entitled, Sweet One. This much anticipated
release showcases both the group’s appreciation for many different music genres as well as
their talent to blend them beautifully together. Latin, Country, Rock, Pop, Reggae, Alternative,
Ska, R & B, and Hawaiian have all contributed to the Milo Shade sound. A Milo Shade sound
that you will agree, is a Sweet One.

Produced by Wendell Ching – a producer/engineer who has worked with the likes of
Kapena, Ho’onua, Three Plus, Solanna, Next Generation and many other artists – Sweet One is
an example of musical diversity. No two songs are alike, which makes this Milo Shade offering
both unique and enjoyable to the ears. Featured guest musicians, Nathan Aweau, Kristie Ching,
Wendell Ching, Kainoa Delo, Michael Paulo, Mahina Romero, Vernon Sakata and Jason Swangle
have also shared their talents on this project.

Milo Shade is comprised of 7 lifelong friends – Noelani "Noli" Soriano, Tiare "Tiki" Suan,
Byron "Byz" Rodrigues, Chris "Toku" Tokumaru, Jonathan "Jon" Lum, Bernardo "Bernie" Soriano,
and Brent Nishikawa. These talented young adults have known each other since childhood and
would get together every chance they could during breaks between classes, after school, and
even weekends to sing and play music. They would perform for friends or at family parties, but
never seriously until 1999. Since then, Milo Shade has performed in Oregon, California and
various nightclubs, eventually leading to a chance meeting with Wendell Ching. From that
meeting, Milo Shade released their breakout-hit single, Bidi Bidi Bom Bom in 2000.
Together again in 2003, the journey continues with Sweet One.

Their name Milo Shade is reminiscent of the many times they had spent with each
other on the Leeward side of Oahu playing music under the shade of the milo trees.
