Product Description

I Sight is the long awaited and highly anticipated debut solo release from the up and coming reggae
veteran Maka. After many years of directing all aspects of the music business, he sets his sight on a personal
musical path, stepping from the keyboards and up to the microphone as a Conscious Roots Singer.

The release is a well-rounded group of songs in key and tone, delivering a conscious message. It is also a
balanced blend of various reggae styles. All tracks were produced, recorded and engineered by Joe Bressler
of riddimbank.com, who is a standout keyboardist and multi-talented reggae technician. These tracks feature
a stellar ensemble of gifted reggae musicians from Jamaica and California.

As a Rastaman, Maka's character and levity are reflected in his music. "Trod On" encourages one to remain
strong in times of trouble. "Humble Thyself" reminds one to be modest and features Shagga's thunderous Nyabinghi
repeater, an eerie melodica melody and a driving Stepper's beat. It is followed by a heady and heavy dubstramental
for all dubfanatics. "Haile Selassie" pays homage to HIM, Jah Rastafari, and is driven by a solid and regal dance hall
beat. "Pay Day" is for all hard-working and faithful people. Shasta's ominous bass line drives a steady and massive
one-drop complimented with a crisp and inspiring horn line. Babylon's Falling warns of the consequences of one's
spiritual movements. On "Ride the Riddim" and "Herb", Maka is joined by the highly talented and totally
versatile Jamaican singer, Steve Culture, of Sane Band fame.

His chants add a positive and upful vibe and the proper amount of Jamaican spice. On "Give Jah Praise", Maka is
joined by the legendary and veteran Jamaican reggae star, Edi Fitzroy, who inimitable vocal style makes this triumphant
roots anthem even more of a classic. "Ku'ulei" is Maka's "localized" rendition of the late great Jacob Miller's Suzy Wong
. Papa T of BET adds his well-known toasting style to this tune that is bound to be an island radio staple and local favorite.

When all is said, done and heard, I Sight will stand as a formidable and progressive roots reggae release. I Sight - composed
of conscious messages, sweet and melodic, harmonious vocals, tight production and musicianship - is a definite must have
for all reggae music enthusiasts and ready to be heard internationally.
