Lei's musical aspiration began at the age of 4, remembering her grandmother's sweet voice whenever she sang
and entertained - her grandmother was the talented Myra English.

At the age of 15, Lei began singing at parties, school functions and fundraisers. Within a short time, she became
a member of the hot reggae group from Maui, Slydog. From then on, her life became a musical whirlwind that
took her to the outer islands and to nightclubs in San Francisco and Las Vegas. She performed with the reggae
band Bonafide at the Pure Aloha Festivals. She went on tour, singing with Fiji, to New Zealand and Australia. Barely
able to catch her breath, Lei returned to Maui to perform with Shane the Hawaiian Homeboy, Sudden Rush, The
Waena Boys, Humble Soul and of course Fiji. In the midst of this musical "madness," she has been featured
in various compilation albums, Island Music Volume 2 being one of them.

So, what does Lei have to say for herself on having accomplished what she has so far? "I am thankful for all
the people God has put me with. I have learned so much in my journey, and I am still learning. I had nothing but
great opportunities and great adventures. I embrace it all with a smile." She stops, takes a deep breath, and then exhales,
"I am so excited. I can't wait for this album to be released and shared with all of you."

Lyrics From My Heart was produced by the combined efforts of the talented shaney mon and Lei. Lei wrote all10
tracks featured on this debut solo release. This album will greatly appeal to fans that welcome a dash of R&B and hip-hop
in a reggae feast such as this. The album pours forth Lei's own personal thoughts and emotions-thoughts and emotions
