Ku‘uipo Kumukahi has a voice that captures and touches

Hawaiian music – no na kau a kau – forever. Ke‘Alohi Corporation

new release Ho‘ulu‘ulu ‘Ekahi. Translated correctly, Ho‘ulu‘ulu
‘Ekahi means one collection.
This release is not to be confused as a “best of” CD, but a collection
of old and new.
She performs the ukulele, guitar, bass and vocals on new compositions, Yellow
Ginger Blossoms
and Ka Pua Melia, while giving new life to previously recorded songs, ‘O
Waikulumea and
Muliwai.
Deeply rooted in her family, cultural and heritage values, Ku‘uipo
has committed her
life to Hawaiian Music. For many hours, days, months and years, she has
advocated for
Hawaiian music when Hawaii’s economic control no longer desired Hawaiian
Music. Her
truth to the language in the music became not only her love, it also became
a teaching
tool for all to learn through her knowledge and guidance.
Ku‘uipo is not only a recording artist. She is a schoolteacher, lecturer,
business owner,
the co-founder and president of a non-profit organization, producer, student,
multiple Na Hoku
Hanohano award-winner, and Hawaii’s number one female vocalist and
sweetheart of Hawaiian music.
