Krystilez means everything his name says; from making waves in the Hawai'i Hip Hop mainstream to polishing his lyrical expertise in the underground scene. He has become the epitome of what Hawai'i is defined as..."The Melting Pot." With diversity and versatility being his most valuable assets, he is able to adapt to any form of rap music.
Krystilez’ debut album, The Greatest HI won Hawai'i Music Award’s Best Hip Hop album in 2006, as well as winning countless freestyle emcee battles. KRYSTILEZ has proven his skills. In his 10th year of rapping, he is now becoming one of the leading forces in the Hawai'i Hip Hop movement, opening for such mainstream acts as Ja Rule, Paul Wall, etc. KRYSTILEZ’ music has been in rotation on multiple radio stations and also works for Clear Channel Communication's HOT 93.9 rocking with Hawaii's top DJ's on the "Saturday Night Street Party".
With multiple music videos under his belt, he has captured all forms of Mass Media and maintained his street credibility by staying in touch with his home, Nanakuli Homestead. Being born of Filipino descent, the second largest race in Hawai'i, Krys grew up in a predominantly Hawaiian surrounding. The aspects of 50th state culture have definitely influenced his upbringing and music.
