Product Description

Kimo Alama Keaulana

Kimo Alama Keaulana is one of Hawaii’s most respected and popular performers of traditional
Hawaiian music.   Self-accompanied on ‘ukulele, his masterful falsetto can express the emotion of
a sweet ballad or the sassy hidden meaning in a lively hula number.

Widely considered one of the best vocal interpreters of Hawaiian songs, Kimo understands
the Hawaiian thinking behind the compositions.

He is a natural stage performer and always “packs ‘em in” wherever he plays.

An 8th generation professional musician, dancer, chanter, teacher, composer and entertainer,
Kimo Alama Keaulana is a recognized authority on ancient and modern hula and its music.
As a Kumu hula (hula master) and renowned dancer himself, he knows how to play
the music to accompany hula.

Known for his captivating laugh, wicked ‘ukulele strum and sweet angel voice, Kimo Alama Keaulana
is all the proof we need that hula and its music are alive and well – that indeed “Hula Lives!”

This long-awaited recording, with the makings of a classic, is being met with excitement and anticipation
by the hula community, and by all people who love good Hawaiian music.
