Product Description

The rhythms, music and sweetness of our people laid its tender caress over the
land drawing dreamers from afar to visit Hawaii’s shores. This, the first in a series of
musical collections features songs so special, so rare that these are tunes that were
danced to under moonlight or were listened to where ever you went. Today when you
hear these songs, folks of that generation become misty eyed; the music transports
them to a different time, a simpler time.

This series and band name, Faithfully Yours is a simple statement of our adoration
for that time in our history. Volume 1 is dedicated to Kimo Alama Keaulana, a lecturer,
author, Kumu hula and entertainer. His collection of music housed at the Bishop Music
Archives contain over a thousand Hawaiian compositions and is the most used collections
at the museum. His dedication to the preservation of Hawaii’s music and
island history is legendary.

Faithfully Yours Musicians

Bobo and Boyson Brown are brothers of extraordinary talents and very committed
to their craft of music, with over 45 years in the music business traveling throughout
the world sharing Aloha. They are sons of Bunny Brown of the famous Hilo Hawaiian
recording group. The Browns bring to this recording, vocal and instrumental expertise
couple with a repertoire so timeless, so treasured.

Noe Kimi Buchanan is the musical director and producer of the series. Fluent on
all instruments, her training comes from the University of Indiana, Kimo Keaulana,
Kekua Fernandez and other Hawaiian Music Masters. She has traveled the
world for the Hawaii Visitors Bureau, Hawaiian Airlines for more than 20 years.
She joins Faithfully Yours as the female singer, ukulele, repertoire and arranger.

Danny Paleka is a musician’s musician. “Pops” has played over 50 years with
the legends of island music. He has mastered all instruments and is featured here
as an arranger and great Hawaiian Piano stylist of all time.

Norman Kalima of the famed Hilo Kalimas is a gentleman who is as gifted pianist
but joins the group as a percussionist.

Iaukea Bright is a radio personality, gifted performer and recording artist. He is
a songwriter and singer. He joins Faithfully Yours on his favorite instrument, the Hawaiian Steel Guitar.

Francis Blas is a very special person who lends his solid drumming and percussion
to this project. Francis had played with the Browns for many years. He is a gentleman
with a spiritual commitment to all things.

Francis Ilacuna is a full time solo guitarist for the past 40 years. Frank brings total music
integrity to his interpretations and is an incredible addition to the music sound of Faithfully Yours.
