     Dru Kekaualua’s solo release, Pohoiki Blues,features great harmonic style,
demonstrated in original compositions such as Love & Memories 1983, Angel
and Pohoiki Blues.  Dru’s rich falsetto voice can be heard in songs like Kalaupapa,
Pua Lilia, Kanani A’o Kau, God Bless My Daddy/Mom and Sad Eyes.      
   
Pohoiki Blues instrumental flavor includes rhythm guitar by brother Ricky Kekaualua,
and bass by Stephen Kaheiki and Jasha Evans and slack guitar picking by Jr. Keliihoomalu,
and Ikaika Mazo.  Pohoiki Blues is a mix of Hawaiian and Contemporary music.
   
  Dru’s love for music started at the tender age of four and carried on through his
life subsequently; Dru and his brothers formed the group called Kolea.  Dru’s inspiration to sing
falsetto comes from his appreciation and love for Led Ka’apana and the late Dennis Pavao.
  
   Dru Kekaualua is proud to produce this collection of songs, which he has treasured
as a young boy and hopes each individual will enjoy this album as much as he has
enjoyed creating it.  Dru feels very privileged to be able to share this collection
