Product Description
Divers, focuses on three brothers – Paka (Ed Joy), the older, Liko
(Kaniela Joy),
the middle, and Ka’aina (Kalei Angay), the youngest - and their battles
of survival
after the death of their father.
This movie touches on racism, the effects of a tourism-dependent economy,
and the
choices made in life, which drives them to a discovery of their cultural
identity.
The story is presented in Hawaiian Creole. There are a few coined phrases
used
that help this movie out. As well as, an array of blood-pumping action sequences,
local humor and ideology, which separated this movie from any other.
The choices the three brothers make throughout the story stay with them
till the end,
reaching an unexpected twist.
