Product Description

This Is My Paradise is Augie Rey’s second CD.   On this album, Augie Rey displays his great love
for music and his ability to put into words what some people find difficult to do, Mahalo, 4 the Sunshine
of Your Love is an example of this, a song to say thank you to the one you love.  This song was written
for his wife, Bobbe Joy, co-written with Cecilio, to say thank you.

Music Speaks Louder Than Words, written by Harold Payne, a very good friend of Augie Rey,
is a song written to express how one feels inside but find it difficult to put into words.

Love Isn’t Easy is a joint effort of Augie Rey & Cecilio Rodriguez, with Cecilio showing
off his Latin guitar riffs throughout.  Ala Santana and Augie Rey on Congas & Timbales.

Augie Rey performs at the Mai Tai Bar on the Beach in the Royal Hawaiian Hotel every
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Michael W. Perry and Larry Price have dubbed him “The Mambo Man.”
As Augie says in his shows, “I am from a little island in the Atlantic Ocean…Manhattan!
That’s near Puerto Rico and Cuba where my parents are from.”

His ethnic background is diverse - Puerto Rican, Cuban, Spanish, French and Chinese.  Augie’s
Latin background is reflected in many songs, from Tus Ojos (Your Eyes) to Hey Mambo Man!  He wrote
Everybody Salsumba
to reflect not only his love of Latin Music, but a song that can get anyone up to
dance, “…a little bit of Salsa, a little bit of Rumba, SALSUMBA…”

Augie put a medley together titled Pennies from Heaven/Good Goody, a real dance-crowd pleaser.

For the past 25 years, Augie Rey has been an entertainer and successful Insurance agent,
hence, the song I Want some Love Insurance.    He has felt that it is important to protect your love
ones with life insurance and he also felt that it is equally important to protect your heart.

Augie Rey comes from a large family of 9 brothers and sisters.  He also has 10 children of his own.
One of the first questions asked when meeting one of his siblings or one of his children is, “Do you sing?”
To the delight, his daughter Tahiti will answer, “Yes!”  She started out singing at the Castle High School
of Performing Arts.  Performing under the direction of Ron Bright.  Her vocal instructors included such
legends as Melveen Leed.  Augie has added a bonus track featuring his daughter, she sings in an
Etta James style, At Last.

This is My Paradise has something for everyone.  He pleases all ages and styles of music lovers.
